We believe career guidance should be private by default. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and what stays under your control.
Career Campus does not require an account. The career assessment stores your answers locally in your browser so you can review your results during your visit — they are never uploaded to us. If you send us a message through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you choose to share. We also receive standard technical data such as your browser type, device type, approximate region and the pages you visit, in aggregated form.
We use this information to show your career matches, to reply to messages you send us, to understand which guidance content is most useful, and to keep the site secure and working correctly. We do not sell your personal information, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not share your details with third parties except where required by law or where a service provider (such as our hosting and analytics providers) processes data on our behalf.
We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep the site working — for example remembering your quiz progress and your cookie choices. With your consent we also use privacy-friendly analytics cookies (Umami) to count page visits and understand how the assessment is used; these are aggregated and cannot identify you personally. Optional cookies only load after you accept them, and you can change your choice any time through the cookie banner or by clearing your browser data.
Quiz answers live only in your browser until you clear your browser data. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to answer you. Under South Africa's POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its processing — email us and we will respond as soon as reasonably possible.
Some career, bursary and institution listings link to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to read their policies.
